Yoga Teacher Profile:
Luna Anita Perkins has been studying
and practicing yoga since 1992, exploring a wide variety
of yoga disciplines. She completed Hatha Yoga teacher
certification with Anne
O'Brien and began teaching in 2002, focusing on
Iyengar Yoga and Vinyasa Flow Yoga. She is a Registered
Yoga Teacher with the
Yoga
Alliance. In 2005, Luna completed Children's Yoga
Teacher Training with the Radiant
Child Yoga Program. In 2006-2007, Luna completed
300 hours of advanced training in Yoga Therapy at Ananda
Seva.
Luna specializes in sharing the
joys and benefits of yoga with beginners, new moms,
people with chronic pain or limited mobility, and everyone
who enjoys and learns yoga better with individual attention
and assistance.
Providing individual support and encouragement
in private classes and yoga therapy sessions, Luna ensures
that every student receives the tremendous physical,
emotional, and spiritual benefits of yoga. Her expertise
as a prenatal and postpartum yoga teacher is enriched
by her experiences studying and teaching yoga through
her own pregnancies. Luna Anita is committed to creating
a safe, enjoyable experience for every student in every
class.
Meditation Teacher Profile:
Acharya Anandam (Al Perkins) was ordained
as an Acharya (spiritual teacher) through the
Ananda
Seva Mission in 1998. Anandam was first initiated
into meditation in the tradition of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti
in 1973. He has been practicing meditation daily for
over 30 years and has been teaching meditation for over
ten years. His travels and teaching have taken him from
Europe to India and most recently to America.
Anandam, with his irrepressible spirit
and determination, is truly a tantric warrior whose
greatest joy comes from sharing his experiences with
others on the spiritual path. His greatest inspiration
comes from seeing others move toward their spiritual
potential. A native of Liverpool, England, Anandam now
lives in Eugene and is married to yoga teacher Luna
Perkins. He is available for personal meditation instruction
and ongoing spiritual guidance, free of charge. Contact
